Caitlin Stewart

Caitlin spent a lot of time growing up on the water and scouring beaches for treasures brought forth from the sea. She has fond memories of hours spent searching mounds of dried seaweed with her family, seeing what could be found amongst the fronds at their favourite urchin collecting beach. This sparked a life long fascination for the different sizes, colours and shapes of the urchin exoskeleton. Each urchin found was closely examined - were the spines still attached, was there the remains of a creature left inside, and how could that seemingly small, small object get tumbled through the surf and be spat out on the shore still intact.
