BRONWEN NEWBURY

Bronwen lives and paints on the land, near the sea, surrounded by family, friends and dogs. Her paintings - often colourful, sometimes whimsical, always evocative - reflect not only scenes from her life near the Albany, but many other places, people and scenery she has known.

She plays intuitively with light, colour and shape to create her distinctive acrylic artworks. She is endlessly versatile, moving effortlessly between abstract and representational landscapes and figurative works. Her relaxed style sees her building layers of paint to tease out forms in the landscape.
