Bronwen Holding is a Perth based ceramic artist, who creates flowers from earthenware clay.
She draws inspiration from her passion for gardening, attempting to capture the beauty of a freshly cut bunch of flowers in ceramic whilst drawing on her past flora experiences from living on 3 continents.
Each petal, bud and leaf is hand formed, hand painted with underglaze and kiln fired in her home workshop in Perth. The various flower parts are then assembled with wire and florist tape.
Bronwen's current passion is to recreate Western Australia's natives in ceramic.
Bronwen's Ceramic Protea piece was a finalist in the Etsy design awards in 2016 and 'Rio the black Sheeps Cousin' - a ceramic flower encrusted Sheep won the 3 dimensional sculpture award at Joondalup Community Art award in 2018.
